Love this spot, it’s definitely in my top 10 monuments. It is a henge, but the wall of the henge is built out of rock, as in everyone who came here for the festival brought a STONE from the stream and built the stadium themselves. Do or die! It’s also right next to the M6 which is weird in a way but also perhaps this route has been a major one for a longtime. It also makes it a really great picnic spot when travelling between Scotland and England. Mayburgh used to be part of a sacred landscape but now stands alone, forlorn, eternal.
