1 kilo crabapple
1 kilo mixed berries eg goose / black / blackcurrant / rasp / plum
1 kilo sugar
water
Wash crabapples and chop roughly, not necessary to core or peel
Wash berries, put with crabapples in a pan, cover with water, boil then simmer. Stir to mix it all up and make it pulpy.
Strain into a bowl, leave overnight.
Take juice and cook, stir in 500g sugar for every litre. Boil for 10 mins, then when it’s ready take off heat. Do the spoon in fridge setting test. Take off any scum. Pour into sterilised jam jars. BOOM.
