On my sister’s bday back in May, the niece said she would get nature’s reward and then there was a rainbow. I liked the concept as well as the execution! Pretty much every day here I have nature’s reward, which is heartbreakingly good for me and my mental health. Together with the joy of the kittens, life is good, especially when the sun is shining. Today’s reward was multiple!
First off, as I drove the tractor along the burn bankside for the first time, I disturbed a hawk which popped up to see what was going on and flew off. Most likely the same bird I saw yesterday in the courtyard first thing!!
Secondly, up in the field I was maintaining tree guards when I heard the distinctive piuuu call of the local buzzard. I looked up and there it was in all its majesty, wings spread, gettign harassed by ten swallows 🙂 I came to the game late, but I am pretty sure the swallows were taunting the bird of prey.
Thirdly, I saw my first ladybird of the year. Woohooo!
