On my way home from Battle hill I was in a good mood so I thought I’d check Thorax stone circle out. Taking the turn-off from the B9023, I followed a track which it dawned on me was simply leading to Thorax Farm; having read online that the owners were friendly to stonehunters, I decided to carry on. A van zoomed past me at a rare passing place and possibly that was the kind owner leaving, because when I got to the the farm, there were cars and a tractor running but no-one about. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I shouted a hello and rang the doorbell but didn’t meet anyone, so it seemed a bit rude to carry on up past the farmhouse through their policies (also I might have been thinking of the beginning of the Cronenberg film History of Violence<\/em>); perhaps I should have but being new round here I’m still learning the etiquette.
