I was hoping the moon was out to play so I could investigate if the ancients watched the glowing sphere roll along the recumbent stone *but* it was of course a cloudy night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recumbent stones are characterised by always being .. well, recumbent and (by far) the biggest stone in the circle and facing southwest from the circle, <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I noitced the one at Aquhorties *feels* like it&#8217;s facing north, up the hill, even though it isn&#8217;t. Funny I was so disorientated.
